Digital Forensics

Digital forensics involves working within our legal justice system to acquire, preserve, and examine electronic data, stored in computers, servers, external storage devices and personal data assistants/cell phone.  We bring not only technical knowledge, but also trial testimony experience coupled with a considerable background in many phases of business.

Digital forensics - for professionals only . . .

Integrid professionals hold multiple certifications, including the Digital Forensics Certified Practitioner (DFCP) from the Digital Forensics Certification Board, the Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) certification from the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners, as well as the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  We have testified as experts in both federal an state courts.

A step by step process . . .

bullet Consultation - We will work with you to clearly define the scope of our engagement.  We also can assist the litigation team with respect to types of information available, as well as help draft language with respect to any related protective order, subpoena or Temporary Restraining Order.
bullet Data Acquisition - Acquisition of digital evidence usually requires specialized equipment and techniques.  Mistakes at this stage often are irreversible. In addition, it is essential that proper  chain-of-custody procedures are utilized, otherwise the information may later be deemed inadmissible.  Once acquired, the digital evidence is stored in fireproof, secure storage.
bullet Examination - Our lab is well equipped with a wide range of equipment and software tools to support almost any type of examination.  Equipment and tools, however, are only as good as the practitioner that uses them.  Our experience spans a wide range of technologies and litigation contexts.  Often, we find that our extensive background in business and finance related areas are equally valuable.
bullet Report - The results of our examination is presented in report that emphasizes clear, easy-to-understand language and graphics.  Our reports typically follow the requirements of Rule 26 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
bullet Testimony - We have been qualified as experts in both state and federal courts.
